Zach and Cara Latimer have lived in the Bellefontaine area since 2004. They have 3 kids, Cadence, Dominic, and Wyatt, who all have or are currently attending Bellefontaine City Schools. They first were introduced to Whit's when Cadence started working there shortly after it opened. When they found out there was an opportunity to become owners, they were excited to be able to give a little back to the community. Their goals are to be able to support the local community and schools of their children and employees. They want to provide a work environment that allows local kids to get some experience while not being afraid to make mistakes and learn.
Enjoy beautiful downtown Bellefontaine, alive and vibrant with some of the best craft, clothing, and antique shopping around. Whit's Frozen Custard is located on South Main Street, one of the most picturesque small town blocks in Ohio. Shopping, unique restaurants, local breweries and Whit's will give you a peaceful escape for an hour or day.

With our home ties to Granville and having lived in Columbus since attending college at OSU – I wanted to continue to serve Whit’s Frozen Custard in the neighborhoods I have called home for the last 20 years. With the Short North in place, it was time to expand to my home turf – Clintonville. After looking for a couple years, we feel we have found the perfect location and fit to finally serve up some Whit’s Frozen Custard made fresh daily. We already had a nice following from Weiland's Market and Lucky's Market as well as our novelty Whittie Sandwiches from Studio 35 in Clintonville. Now I can’t wait to walk to work and serve it fresh too!
At the Clintonville location we are proud to serve the Vegan community with a freshly made daily vanilla as well as a weekly flavor. We have expanded our Vegan options to include a variety of toppings, shakes made with Flax milk, vegan frozen cakes (pre-made or special order), as well as a fully dedicated grab-n-go with vegan pints/quart flavors and our famous Vegan Whittie.

Opened in 2008, one of the earliest franchises of Whit's Frozen Custard, our Gahanna store is unique in that we offer a drive-thru window making it easy to stop by and pick up your favorite Whit's treat. Our customers enjoy sitting at our outdoor tables in the beautifully landscaped area, and it has become a favorite gathering spot. We have a great crew staffed by local residents, many earning money for their education, that love to provide our customers with quality service and products. Whits of Hilliard continues the expansion of Whit's delectable treats to the far west side of Columbus, Ohio. For just about two years now, west side passion has grown for the frozen treat that was born in central Ohio and has won the hearts and stomachs of all our patrons. A visit to our store in Hilliard hails everything expected in a Whits, but with some expanded goodies on the menu such as Sea Salt Caramel Brownie, Butter Pecan Chip and Caramel Praline Pecan. Now offering vegan and sugar-free options!
